Health and wellness is not some pie in the sky idea. It isn’t something that can be attained overnight either though. It is a total body and mind transformation that anybody has the ability to acquire, through the changing of habits and introduction of some simple premises that can alter the way you travel through this thing we humans call life.

There are some basic principles to the acquisition of a positive health and wellness flow, which can be broken down into three main categories. Each of these is just as important as the other, and none can get you to your health and wellness goals without the other two. This is an important thing to note as we break down each category individually.

This brings us to the one that we see most people struggle with.

Nutrition

At For Health’s Sake, we believe that proper nutrition is the stepping off point for your health and wellness journey.

We don’t believe that you need to “cut all carbs” or go vegan (unless for moral reasons) to attain a solid foundation. In fact, we don’t believe in any of the diets that require exclusivity. However, we do believe that eating wholesome ingredient-based meals is essential though.

Making sure that your body and mind are receiving the nutrients that they require is of the utmost importance. Without such nutrient-rich food, it is almost impossible for you to succeed at the other two pillars of health and wellness.

Having good nutrition is paramount to being able to get high-quality exercise.

Exercise

In order to achieve longevity in this life, exercise must be done on a daily basis. Evolutionarily speaking, we are designed to be walking and moving about each and every day. Within modern society, this is something that has been lost to the wayside, leaving us sitting at desks for unspeakable amounts of our days.

Getting your body up and moving with intensity for at least a few hours a week puts you in a much better position when it comes to your health and wellness. Additionally, there are ways to get in extra exercise daily that are less strenuous than a full workout, but over the long haul will increase your health and wellness.

You will see increased energy, less pain, more flexibility. Your immune system will be better equipped to fight off infections and viruses. Your heart and lungs will be bolstered and less likely to fail when you need them most.

On top of all this, habitual exercise is going to help you to get better…

Sleep

Sleep is the third pillar of health and wellness and is one aspect that is often overlooked by diet guru’s, exercise junkies, and by society as a whole.

Lack of proper sleep can lead to all sorts of health and wellness problems outside of just feeling tired all day. It leaves us mentally dull, emotionally unstable, and can lead to early mental problems like Alzheimers.

Sleep is the body’s recovery period. Without proper sleep and restfulness, you are starting off your day without a fully charged battery. Even though most people wouldn’t think of doing this with their cell phones, a large percentage of people do it every day with their bodies.

Conclusion

As stated previously, one pillar is not more important than another, and none will lead you to having complete health and wellness without the others.

When combined though, these three pillars create a super-powerful combination of
